Amazing Snowland from Irene

It never ceases to amaze me the artwork that Irene Alexeeva releases each and every week!!! This week, she released her Amazing Snowland...

I used to scrap a photo I took last December...These are my DH and our younger daughter out in the snow around mid December 2008. We had perfect Christmas snow, and lots of it :)

And one last layout, also a winter one, using PST Designs' gorgeous Glaze Dreams

This is Matthildur Inga again, this time in January 2008. She was really freezing her behind off being out in the snow. She stood there for about the 10 seconds it took me to take the photos and then she was inside, getting warm and toasty. Can you tell from her face that she was NOT having a good time :)

Penny's new papers...

Penny Springman released a new set of papers last weekend, Out On The Town Again, and they are really gorgeous in black and white...Here's my layout, also using Penny's new Autumn Word Jumbles...Matthildur is the ultimate cool child LOL She knows really well that her green lizard sunglasses go perfectly with her pink winter coat and the chocolate smudges around her mouth :) I love her to bits and she definitely colors my world in all the colors of the rainbow!!

Phuong's Autumn's Kiss

In Studio Phuong's newest kit, Autumn's Kiss, apart from being a fantastic fall kit, there is also a little Halloween addon called Eerie...

I wasn't going to use it since I have tons of Halloween kits and no Halloween photos. However, a couple of weekends ago, my mom, my MIL, my sister + family and my SIL came over to my house to make haggis and blood pudding. My girls were extremely interested and got to help with all the stirring of the gooey stuff. I had this photo of my younger one, which I thought would make a fab Halloween layout with Phuong's kit...She is so intent on stirring the blood sausage dough, tongue out and everything. She is just the cutest little thing LOL

Vera Lim released another kit this week, it's called Lavender Sweetie...

And she has the coordinating Magic as well...I love Vera's magic - it's always perfect!!!

This is my very independent three year old, trying very hard not to fall down some steep riggedy stairs, while climbing down to a floating pier in a town in nortwest Iceland which we visited in July. She adamantly refused any help, insisting she could very well do this herself. Which she did - and she was very proud of herself when she finally got down there LOL

Chore Chart from The Ettes

The "Ettes" & Company are guesting at Scrap Orchard at the moment. They have some gorgeous kits, and I got to play with their Chore Chart kit......I made this with itIt's the story of my younger one's potty training back in January. I thought she'd never quit, but once I figured out that she knew when she had to go, it was just easier to go in her diaper than to the potty, then I figured it was time to just take away the diaper and put up a chart. She got a sticker every time she went successfully in the potty - and within three weeks we didn't even need diapers while she slept at night, so I thought it went pretty well :)

It's a gorgeous winter/Christmas kit, cold and warm - extremely beautiful in every way!!! It's called Glaze Dreams and it's available in PST Designs' store at Pickleberry Pop...

Here is my first layout with it...These are my husband and our younger daughter enjoying the snow in our backyard in March 2008 :) We have a big spacious yard with a little sledding hill - and they were both enjoying him running around with her on the sled LOL She was laughing the whole time :)

Here's my layoutIt's my beautiful niece in July :) My brother's family lives in the States so we don't see them nearly enough. It's a shame, since my niece and my older daughter are the same age, and my nephew and my younger daughter are also the same age. Each pair gets along famously - so it's really too bad they only see each other once a year.

My favorite Halloween kit, and, I think one of the most fabulous Halloween kits around has to be Spooky Hour from the fantabulous Irene Alexeeva at the Scrap Orchard...It's just a gorgeous collection of papers, doodled and realistic elements!! I made this layout with it...

I love those legs - and I love that my gorgeous daughter's glasses make her look a little bit like a kind witch LOL

Dawn Inskip just put a stunning new kit in her store at the Digi Chick!! It's called Simply Red...
This is what I made with it...This is Lovisa Lin in March 2008. She loves taking photos and at this point she was playing with my tripod, making it look as if she was taking professional photos LOL She looks rather good doing it, doesn't she?

Phuong just released a new kit called Autumn's Kiss. It's the combined October/November edition of her monthly kits & calendars. It's gorgeous, it's HUGE and it's only $4 - it's just too good to miss!!!

Edeline Marta just released a new kit at Scrap Artist. It's called Beautiful Day...

I used it to scrap Lovisa Lin's first public choir performance...She joined the local Children's Choir in August. They had their first performance at church on October 4, and she enjoyed this so much!! Unofortunately, I didn't get too good photos, usually I just snap away, but since her dad was working and couldn't come to watch, I had promised to videotape the whole think. I can't scrap the video - but it was much better than the photos I managed to get while also holding the videocamera LOL

Faith and Kristin

Faith True just released a fabulous kit at the Scrap Orchard!! It's called Glorious Fall...

It's a gorgeous collection of doodled elements and the most amazing alpha!! I teamed it up with one of Kristin's ScrapDesign's templatesand got this :)This is Lovisa Lin on Thanksgiving Day in 2004. She was helping her uncle while he made pumpkin pie - which was extremely fun for both of them :)

Dawn Inskip and Cali Designs...

Dawn Inskip teamed up with Joyce Paul, and they came up with an amazing pink princessy Christmas kit, called A Girly Christmas...It's amazing, and so versatile that you don't really need to use it only for Christmas layouts, it's perfect for any photo you'd care to scrap of you princess :)

This is Lovisa Lin on Christmas Eve 2005. She was opening presents - and she was such a quiet, polite little present opener LOL She enjoyed everything she got to the fullest, and she really wouldn't have cared if she only got one present. I wish she was still like that LOL

And, can you believe it? It's my last layout to show today LOL

Cali Designs released a fantastic kit today - in a new store!!! The kit is called Shine on You, and it's just so soft and romantic - really gorgeous!!

Edeline Marta & a huge Halloween collab...

Edeline Marta put the cutest kit in her A5D guest store today!!! It's called Rain Drops Falling...

It's SO cute!!! I made this layout with it...It's Matthildur Inga in the middle of September. We took a walk and she was dressed as if it was summer - then it started to rain, it really came pouring down, but she didn't care LOL It just added to the fun :)

And the designers at the DigiScrap Mania store got together and designed this HUGE Halloween collab called Trick or Treat...since I CT for Cali Designs, I got to play with it :)

Again, I don't have any Halloween photos, but I got some cute photos of Matthildur this summer while she was playing pirates with her sister and cousins. She was so happy that she got to use my nephews pirate costume LOLIsn't she cute???

Shabby Miss Jenn & DeCrow Design...

Shabby Miss Jenn released a fantastic Halloween kit this week.

It's called Pumpkinville, and I used it to scrap my younger ones camera smile :) I love that the kit is versatile enough that I don't have to use the traditional Halloween/Pumpkin farm photos...

DeCrow Designs also has a new kit in her store at Scrap Orchard. It's called Autumn Delight, and teaming it with one of DeCrow's fabulous special edition blueprints, I came up with this...This is Lovisa Lin last weekend, when we went to a holiday cottage with my in-laws, celebrating my MIL's 60 birthday. The weather was terrible, but we took the girls out to the playground - holding them tight so they wouldn't be swept away by the wind LOL

Mystique Design released a new kit this week!! It's called Golden Life...It's perfect for Christmas layouts :) I used it to scrap my younger one trying on her grandma's shoes last Christmas...

New kit from Vera Lim, Joy of Autumn...There is a story with this one - well, there is a story with most of my layouts, that's why I scrap LOL As for this layout, we went for a walk at the beginning of October, it was a rather chilly day, windy and we had the occasional hail. In the middle of the walk, my little one sat firmly down and removed her hat. She claimed she was warm, the hat was itchy and there was no way she was going to put it on again!!! It took a lot of reasoning to make her wear the hat on the way home and she didn't like it one little bit :)

This is my nephew in May. He got a little ticked off at his dad and refused to keep going. However, when he realized no one was going to be miserable with him, he promptly decided to continue on the walk with the rest of us LOL

I did a recipe layout :) I've been wanting to put my recipies on layouts so I could print out my own recipe book. So far, I've got two - this being the second one LOL

I used Amy Stoffel's La Cucina, available at the Scrap Orchard.

Penny Springman brought out a fantastic fall kit last weekend. It's called Autumn Spice. I did this with it - and got the assistance of a gorgeous template by Michelle Filo...These are my husband and our three year old daughter collecting fall leaves at the beginning of October :)

She was waiting to go to her first ever Christmas function at the playschool, including a Christmas tree, Santas and the works. She was really excited!!

Today is an off day for my daughters' school and kindergarten - which means it's an off day from me too :) Actually, for me, it's only until noon since their dad is taking the "afternoon shift" LOL

Also, we have SNOW today!!! It's been snowing since early this morning, so right now - this is my view...
I think we somehow missed fall and went straight to winter!!!

I made a layout with it the other day...Lovisa Lin decided to learn to read in August 2008. She was 5,5 and 2 days before her first ever day of school, she figured out the connection between the letters and the sounds they make. Before she turned 6 in December, she was far more fluent than an average 4th grader and by the time I took this photo in February 2009, she was reading story books for fun. No pictures - just words LOL She is amazing :)

Have you seen Harvest Spice, the October Mystery Mega, at the Scrap Orchard yet? It's really, really gorgeous!!! Here's my layout with it...

This is Lovisa Lin, again :) This is at the beginning of September and she was trying to keep her balance walking on an old rusty equipment that used to be used to make hay. I have NO idea what the English word for it is - but the direct translation is "raker" LOL

Edeline Marta is guest designer at After 5 Designs in October!! She has a beautiful Halloween kit in her store there called Scary Boo!!This is a RAK for Kelly (emmasmom). We don't celebrate Halloween in Iceland, it's not a holiday here, so I usually have a really hard time coming up with a way to scrap all the gorgeous Halloween kits out there LOL We don't have Thanksgiving or pumpkins either - so there is another problem for me :)

Vera Lim is guest designer at Catscrap for the month of October!!! Her debut kit there is called Simple Pleasures - and it's just gorgeous!!

These are my sweet girls on September 19, they were standing on their grandma's flat tire while their dad put the spare under grandma's car LOL They watched everything really carefully!!!

I had my first blogpost for Penny Springman yesterday. It was Tuesday Tunes - and I decided to make a layout featuring the latest craze at my house...Abba FEVER!!!

New layouts

I haven't been a Honey Bee at the Scrap Orchard for very long, but I'm really enjoying scrapping with all the gorgeous stuff the amazing Orchard designers put out every week. Just recently I played with mle designs' gorgeous new Wub Woobie...

It's an amazing kit, that just reminds me of hot chocolate and fairy tales read under a cozy blanket :)This is Lovisa Lin on January 2, 2005 at the tender age of 25 months :) This is the day she discovered the television LOL She was tired from so much company and so little sleep during the New Years celebrations, that she just sat herself in her most favorite soft and comfy lion chair and watch the Teletubbies for ages!!! She tried a lot of different positions on that chair that morning - and I have photos of all of them LOL - I just couldn't figure out how to fit them all in one layout!!

I don't like kids watching too much tv - but I like when they watch occasionally, especially since that means a few minutes just for me. Without the noise, and the constant "mommy" yelling LOL Don't get me wrong, I love the "mommy" yelling, but sometimes, when it's been on both ears at the same time for hours on end, a little break is welcomed :)

I got to play with a couple of things from ZigZag Scrap the other day. Here's one of the layouts I made, using Rachness Designs' I Dream of Fall...

This is Lovisa Lin in October 2008. We went to a holiday cottage one weekend and the colors were so gorgeous and the leaves were falling off the trees, so she toog a bag and started collecting the leaves for future craft projects :)

Irene has a new kit in her store. It's called Princess & The Pea - I just love Irene's fairy tale kits...I made this with it...My girls having a dance on our livingroom floor :) It's just one of those times you can't help but love - when everything is fun and everyone is giggling and happy LOL

Kristin just released two packs of new two-page templates in her stores. This is one of them. I have said before, I just love her templates. They make me scrap stories and events, rather than moments. I love my one photo layouts with just a title, both types convey my feelings of the moment - but looking back, these are the layouts I love even more. Where there is lots of journaling and we can giggle over what we did and how we did it and how we felt at the moment. I just love scrapping :)

Eros from Soval...and a freebie

Soval Designs just released a gorgeous new kit in her store at The French Frog!! It's called Eros and it's just pure gorgeousness in red and white...Here's my layout with it...This is Lovisa Lin at the tender age of 5, in January 2008. She was sick for the first time in her life. Now this is a child who never gets sick!! She doesn't even get a runny nose or an upset stomach. Nothing!! 3 times in her life - has she gotten micro fevers. She is fine in the morning, at around 10 she has very high fever, sleeps, wakes up hungry and fever free two hours later. She is really amazing - and I'm so thankful that 's so healthy, I just hope it continues. However, for 10 days in January 2008, she got really sick and miserable - moreso maybe because she hadn't experienced this before. These photos were taken on sickday no5 :)

New from Dawn and Faith

It's October 2 - and it's snowing outside!!! Can you belive it! Granted it's wet snow - almost rain, but it sure falls into the snow category!!! With the temps at 2°C and windy, it definitely feels like winter is coming WAY too early!! We are supposed to have horrid weather today, but hopefully better tomorrow - but this is just not good, even for cold old Iceland LOL

Anyways, Dawn Inskip is guest designer over at ZigZag Scrap this month. Yesterday she released a fabulous kit called This Is It...

I made this with it...This is Matthildur Inga, my three year old, playing cards with Lovisa Lin, her almost 7 year old older sister :) My girls don't always get along really well - at least, I wish sometimes that they didn't fight as much as they do. However, once in a while, they get on famously - and this is one of those times. I was making dinner, and usually around that time, Matthildur is really tired from her long day and is having all sorts of issues. Lovisa, also tired from a long day, does everything in her power to make sure Matthildur is screaming LOL However, this night, Lovisa all of a sudden offered to teach Matthildur how to play a game of Go Fish - and this worked out perfectly!! Lovisa got to boss Matthildur around, and Matthildur just reveled in the attention she was getting from her much admire older sister :) It was a win win situation!!! Now why they don't do this every night, I'll never understand LOL

Faith True is releasing a new kit today at the Orchard. It's Fresh Fruit Friday at Scrap Orchard, so make sure you check it out :) Faith's kit is called Fresh Ideas and it's absolutely fabulous!!!

Here's a layout I made with it, also using a template by Jennifer Fox who was guest designer at the Orchard in September (can't believe it's October already!!!)This is Lovisa Lin in September 2005 - when there was yet to appear an irritating younger sister LOL Lovisa has always loved to paint and draw and color - she is pretty artistic, and takes it very seriously!! When she was little she loved to sit by the kitchen table and make art with her watercolors. She still does it from time to time, but right now she's more into projects of any kind. I think that she dislikes the mess that Matthildur makes when they paint and prefers projects where it's just her doing it, with my help, rather than something they do together :)
