Determination

While in Gothenburg in July, our hotel - which was really kid friendly - offered afternoon baking sessions for kids.  My kids loved it, especially my 5 year old, who enjoyed baking, and even more so eating, some yummy Swedish Chocolate Balls :)

20K

My husband and I trekked 20K a couple of weekends ago.  It took us less time than I thought it would - but it was SO hard and I was dead tired by the end of it.  So worth it, though :)

Feeling Blue...

I am feeling blue - not the beautiful young lady in the photo...she is my 12 year old daughter, going on 13...and she is extremely happy about getting her first hair color - even though it's only some ombre in the lower half of her very long hair.  I am feeling blue, because she is growing up WAY too quickly :)

Iceland...

When leaving Iceland by air, this display is the first thing we see when entering the duty free section.  It's a display of Icelandic brennivin on clear columns filled with ash from the recent volcanic eruption in Eyjafjallajokull.  I don't drink the stuff, but thought the display was really cool :)
