Friends

My older daughter's class has circles of friends.  Last Tuesday it was her turn to host a get-together.  She and her friends made pizza buns and then took our son for a picnic and games in the park.  They all had fun :)

8 Months...

...at home, that is :)  Our beautiful boy, who is almost 21 months old right now, has grown and matured at  an amazing rate since he became ours back in August!

This Beautiful Day

Easter Sunday was the first beautiful day we had this year.  It was mild, no wind and the sun even shone on occasion LOL  Since it was such a difference from the snowy and wet, stormy and cold days we had for the first three months of the year, we spent it mostly outside on a very long walk :)

The Trampolin

My son loves the little trampolin we have in our sunroom.  Most of all, he loves it when he gets to sit there and be "popcorn" while his sisters jump on it too :)

Snow and Sun

Around the middle of March we had a really wonderful day with sun and warmer than usual temps.  However, everything was covered in beautiful newly fallen snow.  The kids went out on the balcony wearing only shirts and played a game of "snow golf" and then had a snow fight with their dad :)

Stopover

On our way to China last August, we had a stopover in Copenhagen.  This is the plane which brought us from there to China :)
The Sissy Sparrows are in the Designer Spotlight at One Story Down right now and I used The Tan Suitcase Elements and The Tan Suitcase Papers.  In their spotlight they are giving away a matching set of Journal Cards.  The alpha and one of the wordarts are from the Tell Me a Story collab from the OSD designers.

Green Fingers

I put my green fingers to the test last summer and tried to grow some vegetables...these are the first flowers on our peas plant.  Much to my disappointment, I discovered that, although they looked pretty, the plants did not produce any peas at all - only flowers LOL 
This year, I'm taking more care with reading the directions on the seed package, and I'm pretty sure I got seeds that actually grow into plants producing actual peas this time around :)

Night Time

My son - who is starting to refuse to go to bed at night.  He just wants to stay up with his big sisters.  So, when I tell him it's time for bed, he puts on his best camera smile - trying to charm me into letting him stay up.  Just a little longer :)

Duck Heads

We went to a nice restaurant while in Nanjing China last August.  Among some very delicious courses, our guide ordered duckheads, a local delicacy.  We all tried them, I loved them - but I was the only one LOL  My kids stuck to cucumbers, chicken legs and noodles :)

Tiger

Our boy is born in the year of the Tiger according to the Chinese Zodiac.  He has many of the characteristics of the Tiger... :)

The Traffic...

We were in Beijing last August - and I LOVE the traffic.  It's bumper to bumper, going at a snail's pace.  It makes you wish you could fly and observe it from above :)

Easter Egg Hunt...

...it starts here!  We had a treasure hunt for chocolate for our kids on Easter Sunday.  There were clues all over - the first one among the daffodils on the breakfast table :)

Books

Books are a big part of my life and have been from when I learned to read at a very early age.  I have a small library filled with all kinds of books, from classic literature to Asterix comic books :)  Some I've already read - some are still to be read...something to look forward too :)

The Star

Many years ago, when I first celebrated Christmas with my own Christmas tree, I couldn't find a star I liked to put on top.  I finally found a kit and directions on how to make your own star.  I bought it, made it - and loved it, so it has been on my tree for 20 years now :)
