Beijing

Eruption

There is a volcanic eruption in Iceland right now.  So far, it's a "tourist eruption" meaning, it's beautiful to look at but not causing anyone any harm or difficulties, since it's in the middle of the country, an area which is totally uninhabited. 
It's been a popular site for photographers - and the photos in my layout are courtesy of the University of Iceland's Department of Earth Science.

All is Calm

Travel in Style

This 1926 model of Rolls Royce Phantom 1 traveled through Iceland this summer.  It's already been around the world at least once; traveled over 80.000 km and to 54 countries - and it looks like a beautiful well worn traveler :)

Dream

My little boy fell asleep on the sofa the other day.  Summer vacation is so tiring :)

Wedding

We went to a wedding Saturday, it was really beautiful and fun :)

Streets of Bejing 2

Beijing in August 2011.  This is my second layout of our walk home from an amazing hotpot restaurant about a kilometer north of the Forbidden City.  The houses on the left of the canal were in such stark contrast to the palaces.

Streets of Beijing

From a walk around Beijing in August 2011.  It was 35°C and 95% humidity - but we all enjoyed it :)

Fabulous Moments

My daughters back in early April 2007.  My younger one had just turned 9 months and was days from starting to walk without support.  My older one was 4 years old and was (on occasion) happy to help her sister walk around :)

Blue Skies

My younger daughter and I.  We had to take a selfie up into the sun when we finally got to see that beautiful yellow orb last week after what felt like WAY too long a period of rain and wind :)

Curiosities & Experiences

My first trip abroad on my own was in August 1988.  I was 19 and I loved exploring and discovering new things and new people :)
