Behind the Lens

Enchanted Fall

Happy to Be...

Concrete

This past July, we visited a remote part of Iceland.  It was foggy but when we came to this tiny village, built up around an old herring factory, the sun started shining so we took it all in;  the sun and the warmth, the amazingly beautiful nature, the peace and quiet, the fabulous little town - and that huge, but long abandoned herring factory, which now housed a fantastic photography exhibition.  It's a visit I'll remember forever :)

Pilot Whales

Last Saturday, a pod of long finned pilot whales swam into our harbor and looked like they were playing.  I got some great pictures :)

Second Grade

Day to Remember

We had a fire Monday. My washing machine caught fire mid-cycle and the laundry room is a mess of soot and water. Lots of laundry damaged, the washer and dryer totally ruined - but we did have a house full of firemen for awhile There was no other damage, but the house smells horrible!!

I Miss You

My husband went back out on sea at the end of August after a 3 month summer vacation.  He's away almost 2 weeks at a time the whole winter long - and I miss him a lot.

Priceless

The perfect position to shovel as much sand as possible on anyone standing close by on the beach :)  It may not be what my son was thinking when he positioned himself like that - but it is a fact, as those close by soon found out LOL
