Make a Wish

My younger daughter on her 6th birthday.  The first gift she opened revealed a pair of handknit gloves which she had begged our friend to make her.  She was SO happy that she actually got the gloves, that she opened all the other presents wearing them :)

The Tramp

It was fun to see some of Charlie Chaplin's movie stuff when we visited London's Film Museum this past spring.  I loved seeing "The Tramp's" suit and shoes :)

Beijing

Photos from August 2011 when we walked 3 km from our restaurant to our hotel in Beijing.  My daughter was a bit afraid of us getting lost - even though we did have our guide with us - so she stopped ever so often to consult her map of the area, asking our guide where we were and where exactly we were heading :)

Beautiful Baby!

This is a conversation between my older daughter and I when she met her newborn baby sister for the first time :)  It was really sweet - and ended with my big girl telling her sister that she was a really beautiful baby :)

Handmade

While we were waiting for referral for our older daughter, I spent my nights making a quilt for her.  It's all handstitched...and it took awhile :)  It's also totally my design - which makes it special, even though some may not think it's too beautiful LOL

I did this for the Trendspotting Challenge over at {scrapflower}...I used Studio 68's Handmade with Love collab with Pink Reptile Designs. I also used Designs by Anita's Love at First Cuddle template collab with Fei-Fei's Stuff, and creashens' fabulous Lovely Doily Stamps No.1 and Chevron Stitches.
