We visited London at the end of March - and went to see the Royal Mews, where the Queen's coaches are kept. The last one to be seen was the Gold State Coach, a 4 ton, 8 horse carriage, made in 1762 for the coronation of George IV.
It was used for Queen Elizabeth's coronation in 1952, and again in 1977 for her silver jubilee. In June it will undoubtedly be used again for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
