My daughter and one of her very best friends.  Unfortunately they live 600 km away from each other and only see each other 2-3 times a year.  My daughter asks frequently if we can't move closer... :)

I Won!!!

My husband ran a 10K run last weekend and my oldest ran the 3K part of it with her friends.  While we were waiting for them at the end line, my youngest decided that he had actually won, climbed on the podium and celebrated his victory :)

Our House

Photos from March 2007.  We had decided on having a sunroom and a balcony built on to our house and had to take photos to show the architect how the house looked at that moment so he could figure out the sketches we had made him :)

Election Day

We had elections for the Icelandic Parliament on April 27 - it's been interesting, before and after, but election day is always a special day here and always do we exercise our rights to vote.  And teach that to our children :)

Museum

The home of the person who was instrumental in liberating Iceland from Denmark.  He grew up in a remote area of the country and his childhood home has been made into a museum - which we visited with our oldest in July 2005 :)  She was only 2,5 years old - and much more interested in her Pippi Longstocking CD cover LOL

Toy Museum

We visited a fabulous toy museum on our trip to England back in 2005.  It was called the House on the Hill ~ Toy Museum ~ and I remember my oldest, who was only 2,5 at the time, being terrified because a pair of legs hung down from the ceiling on the bottom floor of the museum.  I'm glad she recovered, though, because she really enjoyed the museum once she got past the legs :)

The Bird Cliffs

This is from August 2007, when we visited some fantastic steep bird cliffs in the north-westernmost part of Iceland.  It was rainy and foggy - slippery and dangerous in parts, but still gorgeous, and the birdlife was AMAZING :)

Ouch - the Toe!

My older daughter had an iron rod drop on one of her big toes around the middle of February.  She needed 8 stitches and crutches to get around.  She was lucky, though, since nothing was broken and the pain was minimal :)
