Last year, we had really heavy snow fall on April 30 continuing into May 1. Luckily the long days managed to melt it all before long - but it still set spring back awhile.
I used Studio JenD's Edgy: Corners templates, as well as Flergs' The Spark Project Take 2: Wonderful. There is also a couple of other things - all available at Scrapbook Graphics - and the layout is linked for full credit :)
My husband surprised me with a date at home on my birthday last week. The kids went to bed early and he cooked me a scrumptious dinner, complete with red wine, flowers, candles and some wonderful adult conversation. Just what I needed after a rather difficult week :)
I used Ju Kneipp's Some Inspiration 3 templates as well as Lisa Sisnero's Sweet Nothings collection. Everything is available at Catscrap - and the layout is linked for full credit :)
This is the reason we bought our house :) It stands higher than most other houses in our town and it gives us uninterrupted view of our glacier to the south, the mountain range to the east and the ocean to the west :) If we ever were to sell our house, I'd add at least a million $ to the price just for the view LOL
I did this for the brand new Snapshot 2012 Time Capsule Project at Scrapbook Graphics. This is for Snapshot #4. I used a lot of different Scrapbook Graphics products on this layout - it's linked for full credit :)
My younger daughter feeling like the whole world is against her. That usually happens when she doesn't get her own way :) Thankfully these moods of hers don't last that long and her beautiful smile returns :)
I used Designs by Helly's fabulous new kit Fragility ~ available at Scrapbook Bytes.
My daughters got to choose new shoes when summer rolled around last year. My older one chose pink and shiny shoes, with a pink bow, a slight heel and an ankle fastener. They are not comfortable at all, but so very pretty. She is 100% female :)
I used Ju Kneipp's amazing new Et plier...et elever ~ available at Catscrap.
My son after he managed to open the green pen he logged around yesterday - and after he got hold of one of the chocolate chip cookies his dad was baking :) He was very proud of himself, very colorful and very messy. He was not so happy when we started to clean him up LOL
I used Dawn Inskip's amazing new Art Smart Collection and one of her Photo Emphasis Templates Vol.06. Both available at Scrapbook Graphics. The photo pocket is Dawn's newest newsletter freebie. You can sign up for the newsletter on Dawn's blog ~ where she, incidentally, has another cool freebie :)
I used some gorgeous papers and elements from Designs by Helly and they are all part of the February GAB at Scrapboook Bytes. The layout is linked for full credit.
...or an attempt at one LOL There aren't that many photos of my husband and I together. We decided to remedy that, and took quite a few. These were the best ones. Tells you a lot about the rest of them :)
My son has been sick on and off for the past couple of months, and coupled with some very bad weather, lots of snow and ice, outdoors time has been very limited. At the end of January the snow had gone and he was feeling good - so we went out for a walk. He had SO much fun, couldn't wipe the smile off his face the entire time :)
I used BCD Designs' fab new Simple Pleasures ~ available at After Five Designs.
One of my most favorite photos :) It's taken last spring on a hike, when my girls were both in a good mood. And showed it for the camera LOL
I did this for the CT Spotlight challenge over at Catscrap this month. Janam is in the spotlight, and I lifted her love! layout. I used quite a few things from the Catscrap store :) The layout is linked for full credit.
The first day of our summer vacation in July 2010. We were on our way to a summer cottage on the other side of the country - and, since it was a long drive, had hoped to be able to stop a lot. However, the first half of the road trip, we drove through wind and heavy ash fall from the recent volcanic outburst, and for the second half we drove through wind and heavy rain LOL At least the ocean was gorgeous with all the wind - but only I and our daring au pair (in the photo) risked going out of the car to play a little on the beach and take photos :)
I used BCD Designs' fab new Fresh Air kit ~ available at After Five Designs.
My girls had so much fun playing their own kind of twister the other night. The younger one dictated where the older one should put her feet and hands - until they both collapsed from laughter :)
I used a lot of Amy Wolff's gorgeous stuff at the Lilypad. The credit list is long - and you can take a look at it by clicking the layout. It's linked :)
This is an old church, out in the countryside, close to where I live. We were there on a beautiful fall afternoon in 2010, and I took this photo when the sun was about to set and the moon had already risen. I love this photo :)
We have had a lot of snow this winter - and even thought snow makes it harder to get around, driving and on foot, there is no denying that it makes the world beautiful :)
My girls on a nice day last summer, splashing in the mini pool and spraying anything and everything with their water pistols!! Fun times :)
I used a lot of stuff from Dawn Inskip...everything is available at Scrapbook Graphics. The credit list is rather long - but the layout is linked for full credit :)
I used Aja Abney's Catwalk kit at Catscrap, Renewal. The stitches are by Syrin ~ also at Catscrap. This layout can be found here on my blog (scroll down a little) - as a part of the Catscrap Winter Catwalk Blog Hop :)
My daughters playing Old Maid one day in October 2010 :)
I used SherrieJD's amazing new - and HUGE - collection Beyond Wonderland - Whole Enchilada ~ available as a collection or in separate packs at Scrapbook Graphics.
We moved our daughters back into the same room at the middle of January. Apparently, they didn't want to sleep alone - just wanted to be together :) Very sweet, we thought, and they love being back together!
I used a fab collab from Studio Basic and Amy Martin, called Family Circle Templates, and a lot of other stuff. The layout is linked for full credits :)
It's that time of year, and the Catscrap designers have been busy... yesterday, they released a fantastic Winter Catwalk collection - and today, you get to collect an amazing album of quickpages, using all the gorgeous Catwalk products...
You may have come here from Julia's blog, so, without further ado, here's my contribution to the QP album...
My son the day we first met him. We had just gotten back to our hotel room, and although this was such a joyous occasion for us, it was such a sad moment for his 13 month old soul - and you can tell from his eyes how much he just didn't understand what was happening to him. I'm just thankful that we don't see these sad eyes anymore :)
I used Studio Charlize' fab new Gong Xi mini kit ~ available at Scrapbook Graphics, and just in time for Chinese New Year!!
My older daughter and her friend this past June :)
I used Jenna Desai's gorgeous new kit, Best Friends. The date elements are from Amy Martin's January BYOC at the Lilypad. The template is from Dawn Inskip's Photo Emphasis Templates Vol.03 at Scrapbook Graphics.
Tuesday we had no electricity from 8:30 am until 6 pm and again from 10 pm until 2 am. Since we only have 4-5 hours of daylight this time of year - and we also had a raging storm outside, being cooped up inside with 3 energetic kids was quite an adventure LOL One thing I loved, was that my kids really didn' miss any of their usual electrical appliances and were really happy with reading, playing card games or just talking. Most of the time :)
I used a few things from Amy Wolff at The Lilypad...the layout is linked for full credit :)
Our girls starting out on the last leg of our trip to our son's birth city this past August. We had gone from our home in Iceland to Copenhagen, from Copenhagen to Beijing, and now we were about to board our plane from Beijing to Nanjing where our little boy was waiting for us :)
I used Designs by Helly's Worlds Apart ~ available at Scrapbook Bytes.
My older daughter in a living history museum we went to last summer. It was all about the Vikings and there was so much stuff for kids to do and try - lots of fun :)
I used Studio Basic's fabulous new kit Talking About My Girl ~ available at The Lilypad...
One of the ways I use to get everybody in the house to eat a bit healthier, is to cut up a few fruits and veggies everyday and keep them in the fridge. They are bitesized and without peel, so it's easier for the kids to grab them than to raid the cupboards for buiscuits and bread :)
I used Dawn Inskip's amazing new Health Kick Collection ~ available at Scrapbook Graphics.
My son on Christmas morning, having his first Hot Chocolate and Cinnamon Cream Cake. He absolutely loved it :)
I did this for the CT Spotlight Challenge at Catscrap, using Erica Zane's fabulous Love Grows and an overlay by Nancie Rowe Janitz ~ both at Catscrap. Kelley is the CT member in the spotlight this month, and I lifter her Mariah layout.
