The Lion

At the zoo in Des Moines, Iowa in May 2009. It was a rather hot day - at least for us Icelanders :) - and apparently also for the lions, since they just lay in the shade and were too lazy to move. When we entered a little house with a window to observe the lions' pen, the kids loved seeing one of them with all four legs propped up against the window trying to catch a little bit of coolness from the glass :)

I used Micheline Martin's fab new Go Wild Collection as well as her Noteworthy Alpha.

Kando-tekina Te

The designers at Digiscrappers Brasil just got together and designed an amazing kit for the benefit of a Brazilian digiscrapper living in Japan, who was badly affected by the huge earthquake which shook Japan a few weeks ago and the deadly Tsunami which followed it. 100% of the proceeds of the kit go to Aline, the scrapper. The kit is called Kando-tekina TeIt's a huge and gorgeous kit, and you are supporting a good cause by getting it :) You can also get a seperate pack of Quickpages and the kit and QPs as a bundle.

Snow Walk

Matthildur Inga, happy as a lark, just home from her first trip to a real hair salon :) She loved everything about it, but especially the razor, the braids she got in her rather short hair - and the lollipop she got for being good LOL

Quiet Moment

Room No44

My friend and I went on a little road trip in Spain way back in 1993 :) Among other things we went to the city of Cuenca, famous for it's hanging houses. We stayed at an old monestary which had been converted into a hotel in 1983. When we were there it still had a lot of character and we loved our stay there, the thich stone walls, heavy wooden doors - and the deep dents in the stairs from centuries of use :)I did this for Studio Gypsy's special playday at Scrapbook Graphics. Lisa is sadly retiring from designing - and her whole store is 60% off. Most everything is by Studio Gypsy, except the lace which is from a couple of kits from Christina Renee. Self Portrait

Lovisa Lin took this self portrait of herself and her little sister the other day. I found it when I uploaded the photos from her camera to my computer - and I found it totally funny :) Lovisa has her "photo-model-pout" face, while Matthildur has her ecstatic "I can't believe she is holding me and including me in her activities" face LOL

Tomboy

Matthildur Inga went to a birthday party next door last weekend. She went there dressed in her best clothes and wearing her best shoes. On her way home, she ran so fast that the heel on her left shoe tore off the skin on the inside of her right leg, leaving lots of bleeding cuts, some deep. But she just shook her head, and proudly wore her army of band-aids around the house :)I used Biograffiti's fab new kit, Crush, and the alphas are from Molly's Happy Camper kit (recolored) ~ available at OScraps. The stitches are by Anna Aspnes.

Resting Time

My younger daughter last summer. She was 4 and she was playing soccer with a bunch of soon-to-be 8 year olds. Bad Day

Lovisa Lin one day back in September, when she didn't want to go on a walk with the rest of us, but she didn't want to stay home either, didn't know what she wanted really, so she kept saying "I don't want to go - WAIT, wait for me, don't go ahead of me". She is really at an age when some days, the whole world and her grandma is against her LOL Normally she is her sweet smiling self - but then there are these days :)

I used Dawn Inskip's wonderful new collection of goodies at Scrapbook Graphics. It's called Sticks & Stones, and even though it's a beautiful and versatile general kit - it's FANTASTIC to record the not-so-smiley moments in your life.

I also used a template from the Grow With Love Kid's Edition by Crystal Livesay & Sara Gleason.

The Necessities in Life...

According to Lovisa Lin, cool shoes are a necessity in life - and apparently, my shoes are categorized as cool in her book LOL She loves to wear them, claims they fit her perfectly, and amazingly enough doesn't fall down while walking around on them :)I did this for the Studio Collectives Playday at Scrapbook Graphics - all the collectives are 40% off this week!! Matthildur Inga last Sunday, we were on our way home and had gotten the girls a couple of 3D kid's magazines. The 3D glasses which came with, were a big hit :)
