Autumn Glow

Drilling Holes

My oldest daughter, back in early April 2007, helping her dad put up a little gate for the stairs to keep her then 9 month old little sister from falling down.  As soon as her dad brought up his tool kit she went and got her own - and mimicked everything he did.  It was fun to watch :)

Beijing

My son is always smiling or laughing or singing.  He is one very happy boy :)

I used Dawn Inskip's gorgeous new Mixed Media Randomness 01 at Scrapbook Graphics. The doily is from Light and Shade {Flower Garden Collection} and the stitches are from Harmony and Create ~ all by Dawn Inskip and all available at Scrapbook Graphics.

Eruption

There is a volcanic eruption in Iceland right now.  So far, it's a "tourist eruption" meaning, it's beautiful to look at but not causing anyone any harm or difficulties, since it's in the middle of the country, an area which is totally uninhabited. 
It's been a popular site for photographers - and the photos in my layout are courtesy of the University of Iceland's Department of Earth Science.

The Horse

My oldest was born in the Year of the Horse, 12 years ago.  This is her, celebrating Chinese New Year and the new Year of the Horse back on February 1, 2014 :)

I did this for Twisted Lift Challenge 1 at Scrapbook Graphics, and I lifted kyky's Creative Urge. I used Studio Ztampf's gorgeous Year of the Horse at Scrapbook Graphics.

Travel in Style

This 1926 model of Rolls Royce Phantom 1 traveled through Iceland this summer.  It's already been around the world at least once; traveled over 80.000 km and to 54 countries - and it looks like a beautiful well worn traveler :)

7th Grade

1st Day of 1st Grade

2 years ago, my younger daughter started 1st grade.  She is now a seasoned third grader :)
